Multi-Family Construction
Multi-Family Construction HVAC
HVAC from bid phase to warranty on multi-family construction, with over 2,600 units run for Crane Contracting Group alone.
Chapter 01
From bid phase to warranty
Priority Design & Service takes multi-family jobs from the bid phase through construction to warranty, not just the install week in between. Pat Crane, President and Owner of Crane Contracting Group, Ltd., wrote a letter of recommendation covering exactly that scope: redesign, value engineering, resolving code issues, and being prompt from the first bid to the final warranty item. It is published in full further down this page.
That relationship alone accounts for more than 2,600 multi-family units, completed and in progress, contracted with Crane Contracting Group out of the Selma office under Texas license TACLB018551E. Resolving a code issue before it stalls a framing crew, or reworking a mechanical plan before it gets poured into a foundation, is a different skill from a service call, and it is the one Matt Carson has built the multi-family side of the business around for more than 25 years.

Five-story multi-family building mid-construction with scaffolding and two JLG lifts on site
Staffing a site: installers and supervisors
A general contractor running a five-story building does not want to manage HVAC labor on top of everything else on the schedule. Joseph S. Bakke, President of Independent Contractors Inc., describes in his own letter below a crew staffed with knowledgeable installers and competent supervisors, one that brings a solution to any problem presented on site rather than just showing up with tools.
Mark Gross, President of Concept Builders, makes a similar point about the working relationship itself: Priority Design & Service stood behind their product with real support, and their attention to detail and constructive approach to problem solving kept the building process straightforward for his own staff. That is the standard a multi-family project needs from a mechanical subcontractor working scaffolding and a lift alongside every other trade on site, not just after the walls close up.
Chapter 03
Logistics at 2,600 units
Over 25 years, in Priority Design & Service's own words, have gone into the fine-tuned management and logistical processes that keep quality control consistent across a live construction program. That is a different problem at framing stage, on a wood-framed project with lumber stacks and a telehandler still moving material, than it is once the wings are up, the pool is filled and the community is leasing units.
It shows in what Crane Contracting Group alone has put through Priority Design & Service: an excess of 2,600 multi-family units between completed work and jobs still in progress, every one of them run under the same TACLB018551E license out of the Selma shop, coordinated with the same field representatives and other trades any general contractor already has on site.
